Issue with timestamp filtering in a new tab

Post by Ian Gralinski »

(Reproducible in version 5.4.4)
Open any log file. Use the Find dialog to find any subset of the log entries and display them in a new tab (an option in the Find dialog). Now show the Filtering bar and try to apply a rule of the format "Timestamp >= <time>". You will find that whilst the filter works in the tab containing the original log file, it does not work for the new tab containing the subset of log entries from the results of the Find operation.

Hello Ian,

You are right, it's a bug. The good news is that it's now fixed in v5.5.0 that should be released in one or two weeks.

Thank you for your feedback, and sorry for the inconvenience.
