Re: Bookmarks

Very nice! I have verified that this works. Thank you for making this possible. :D

Cannot move from v2.0.3 Pro to v2.1.1 Pro

I successfully installed v2.1.1 and ran it. However, after preserving some files/folders as mentioned here , no matter what bookmarked file I try to open, I always get a java dump java.lang.NullPointerException at fw.b(Unknown Source) at dC.actionPerformed(Unknown Source) at javax.swing.AbstractButt...

Open log file(s) panel

Occasionally Open log file(s) indicates that there are no suitable parsers found for a file that I select. In addition to the OK button, there should be a Cancel button that allows me to escape out, enable a parser, and then have a chance at opening a log more successfully. With large logs, this has...

Bookmarks

I depend upon bookmarks regularly, and they serve my needs well for the most part, except when I need to open a file with different encoding, It would be very helpful if a bookmark saved the same attributes (such as encoding) that I can select when opening log files. Mismatching encoding has been fa...

Sort Entry Columns

In the context of log files, there would not be a need for this. However, LogMX (in the spirit of M assive e X tensibility) easily lends itself to other files, such as configuration files which have no timestamps. With non-log files, although I can at least enjoy a tree sorted on Emitter, it would b...

Persisting Filter Favorites

Similar to Bookmarks, it would help to be able to save/recall filter Favorites by name. While the recent Favorites list is helpful, I often lose filters that I consistently use occasionally.

Filter Tree

While the tree provides an excellent list of Emitters, it could add more value to filtering if the tree was filtered along with the entries.

Re: Highlighting

Indirectly focusing on the results by highlighting the ID is not exactly what I had in mind, but it is a step in the right direction. It makes me look for the "found" text, which becomes increasingly difficult with large message bodies, or when I am searching for several strings. Highlighting "found...

Highlighting

Splendid log viewer! I am evaluating LogMX with the intention of purchasing at least one copy. While filtering helps narrow the list of entries that I am interested in, what is missing is the ability to highlight strings of interest. I would like Highlight Filtering (with regular expressions as a ch...
