Is it possible to set a filter with a regular expression in the message field?
If yes, is this feature available with the tail/autorefresh feature?
If not, did you plan to develop this useful feature?

Features: Filter in message?
Moderator: admin
Hello,
Yes. Using the "Find" feature, select only the "Message" field and select option "In a new file tab" for "result display" settings. Only entries that match your search will be displayed in the new file tab (professional version is required to use regular expression search, you can only use simple text search with the evaluation version)
Here is a quick idea for this feature: there would be a new small toolbar allowing user to add/edit/remove filters, and user may choose the logical operator between filters (OR, AND, ...). Would that match your need? If you have any other idea concerning this feature (or a new one!), please let us know.

Not at this time, if you mean that new entries found in files would also be filtered. But you're right, it's a great idea for a new feature, it should be implemented in one of our next releases (but shouldn't be ready before january 2008, as we are currently working on Correlation and Managers plugins features). If yes, is this feature available with the tail/autorefresh feature?

Hello,
Unfortunately, this feature won't be available before December 2008 due to a delay in our development planning.
For now, you can monitor your file in real-time and filter entries by log level, and emitter only (a new-written log entry won't be displayed if its emitter is unselected in the left emitters tree)

Hello,
New version v1.3.0 now includes a Filter feature that should match your need (works with Auto-refresh, Tail, on any Entry field, and regular expressions are allowed using "LIKE" operator)
